Life Mission

Dhyanyogi Madhusudandasji founded a small ashram in Bandhvad in Gujarat in India. From there he started his work of teaching and serving mankind. From 1960, he began to move all over India conducting group Shaktipat and meditation programs. He was a pioneer in bringing Shaktipat to the masses to raise consciousness levels of humanity. During the terrible drought of late 1960s in Gujarat, he collected public fund on a large scale and helped the Government and people of Gujarat. He established a secondary school in Bandhvad and a hospital in a backward area of Bihar to help the needy.

The call of the yearning souls from overseas reached Dhyanyogi and in 1973 he left for the United States of America and traveled all over the country offering Shaktipat and teaching meditation. He captured the hearts of the Americans effortlessly with his love and simplicity.

In October 1978 in Sacramento, Dhyanyogi Madhusudandasji asked medical doctors to observe his blood-pressure and temperature changes during a session of Bija Mantra chanting. He amazed the medical staff by increasing and decreasing his blood pressure at will by his yogic powers. He was amongst the pioneer yogis who demonstrated the power of yoga and meditation on body.

He returned to India after four years of stay in United States of America and lived in the small flat of a beloved disciple in Ahmedabad.

Dhyanyogi Madhusudandasji and Swami Muktananda are the great saints who first carried and spread knowledge of Kundalini Maha Yoga in the West.
